Native American Actor Chaski Spencer is best known for his role as the leader of the Werewolves in the Twilight Movies. He is one of the native Americans from the native American tribe the Lakota Sioux tribe, and was also raised on an Indian Reservation in Idaho, and one in Montana as well. The actor reminisces about when he was young and wanted to be a photographer in a recent interview, but instead of this he wound up in front of the camera as an actor. Spencer moved to New York and he got his first acting role while there in Dracula, an off Broadway play. He played the title role in this play and after this he played in a number of other stage shows in New York. He performed at the public theater and the roundabout and around this time he was discovered by film casting director Rene Haynes. After Spencer met up with Haynes she cast him in several movies including Skins, and Dreamkeeper, as well as Into the West, directed by Steven Spielberg. The actor’s most noticeable role was the part he played in the Twilight series.
Chaski more recently has started filming a few other movies, including the new film Shouting Secrets, and is also scheduled to film a new movie entitled Winter in the Blood, with his co-star from The twilight series Julia Jones. With all of the experience he has gained acting on and off screen he has built up quite a following and has much credibility as an actor. In addition to being an actor, he is also an activist and spokesperson for United Global Shift, which allows him to make an impact on many areas including poverty and global empowerment, making Spencer a dynamic person and one that has a lot to offer in terms of talent and caring.
